BioLink™ LinkTaq™ offers industry leading sensitivity and speed and is our most popular polymerase for routine PCR applications.

Our R&D team performed site-directed mutagenesis on the active site of Taq polymerase, which increased its processivity significantly and generated LinkTaq™ polymerase. With improved processivity, LinkTaq™ offers improved speed, offering 15 second/kb extension times and a 40-cycle protocol in less than 33 minutes.

With improved processivity also comes improved enzyme efficiency and in turn, greater yield and sensitivity. LinkTaq™ is, therefore, an excellent choice for low copy number applications.

LinkTaq™ HS offers robust and reproducible performance even with GC and AT-rich templates or crude samples and generates products up to 6kb.

LinkTaq™ is available in two formats: a 2X Mastermix – just add template and primers, or in a 2-tube format containing a 5X reaction buffer (without dNTPs) and LinkTaq Polymerase (5u/uL). The Mastermix is available with an optional inert, red gel-loading dye, which allows for the direct loading of PCR product into gels.
